I have a very special Christmas present for you guys… It’s Episode 7!
-On the day of the Christmas full moon, which won’t happen again until 2034, I bring you a radio documentary (in characteristically ambient fashion) about the blood moon eclipse, which won’t be seen until right around the same time. The Frequency Horizon joins an impromptu blood moon lunar eclipse gathering and taps into excitement from around the globe (to the tune of “Forest Moon” by Boards of Canada).
-A live interview with Vancouver DJ Rennie Foster, who chats about witnessing the development of electronic music, his experience delving deep the Japanese techno scene and how the Police inspired some artistic creation. Plus, we play a newly released track that originally came out on Transmat Records.
-Catch music from High Contrast, Waveless, Julio Bashmore and Sigma
-You’ll hear the results of a free-writing experiment I did during a recent power outage, set to “Sea” by Aurum Fusion http://aurumfusion.bandcamp.com
-Plus, I read from a ‘zine by Ashley Ronning (http://ashleyronning.com/) about black holes.
-Thanks to Mevce in Istanbul for the inspiration for a track
-Good luck to Natasha in Toronto, I’ve got some house for ya to power your fam through the season!
